June Glossybox (First Glossybox)

My First Glossybox contained two full sized products. Two were skin care, one was hair care, one make up product and two nail lacquers (came together so I counted them as one)

Great colors for the 4th of July although I didn't receive it on time to use them then. They're tiny but so cute!

I was a bit bummed out when I saw this because I had just bought hair spray a few weeks ago. But after using I like it a lot. It has a great smell and gives you a great hold without that stiff hair look. My curls lasted all night!

Ayres Patagonia Body Butter- 1 oz Value $4

This body butter is extremely moisturizing. But I'm still not sure if it's a scent I like. I might end up giving this away.

I am in love with this lotion/hand therapy. It's so smooth       and makes my hands feel so soft! And the smell!! Lemons                                              with a hint of grapefruit!

This champagne color is great for an easy every day look. I just add some eyeliner and mascara. My eyes look gorgeous.

C Wonder Gift Card- Bonus Item

Mine was worth $50!! Got some great jewelry!

Nioxin Diamax Thickening Xtrafusion Treatment- Full Size Value $33.92 for a pack of two on Amazon!

Received as a promo item for being a first time subscriber. When using this I apply it directly to my roots and I don't go overboard. Small amounts go a long way since my hair is fine. I've really noticed how much more fuller my hair looks and it seems my hair also looks healthier.

*** I was pretty bumbed out about the lack of makeup products in this box but the C. Wonder give card made up for that. Sadly most people only received the minimum amount of $5. I paid $21 for this box and received about $138 worth of products. Great payoff!! I just hope that next month's box is more exciting.

August Blush Mystery Box

August's Blush Mystery Box included six items, four of those being full sized. Two of the items were makeup
products, one was a nail polish and the rest were skin care and hair care items.

Dr. Brandt BB Matte- Full Size! Value $39

My first thought when seeing this was " Oh no! Light to medium? It might be too light for me!" This is one of the drawbacks of not being able to customize your blush mystery box. Luckily I tried this on over the weekend and it's a little bit lighter than what I would usually use but it still works for me. I feel really bad for those that it didn't match their skin tone because this was the most expensive item in the box.

It is a bit drying to me so I used a moisturizer before applying. Also when I didn't use the moisturizer I was having a VERY hard time blending but it wasn't so bad with it.  Sephora gives it poor reviews but Ulta's are a bit more positive. I didn't notice any shine but I will look out for it next time I use it.

SkinMedica Dermal Repair Creme- Travel Size .25 oz Value $12-$18 (for travel size!) Full size in link but found for way less on Amazon

Another product I have yet to try : P

But from the description I'm afraid it might cause me to break out :(
It is best for normal to dry skin. I'm combination but suffer more from oily skin than dry.

Reviews are pretty positive on Amazon

Nailtiques Nail Laquer in Milan- Full Size Value $10 but Amazon has them for a dollar less

The color will be a hit for the fall. Hopefully it goes on well and has a good color pay off. Reviews are mixed on Amazon.

Nick Chavez Plump N' Think Thickening Shampoo- 2oz Value $5

I'm pretty excited to try this shampoo after reading the reviews on Ulta. It seems to be very effective at adding volume and fullness to fine hair.
Neuma Style Texturizer- Full Size Value $24

Been waiting to curl my hair to try this. Hopefully it has great hold without that stiff hair look.

Pixi Lid Last Shadow Pen in Graphite Glint- Full Size Value $18

Tried this shadow pen this past weekend with another I had received in a subscription box. It blended well for my smoky eye look. The only con is that you can't twist it to get more. It states that you need the pixi sharpener. I'm sure any jumbo eye pencil sharpener will do but I don't own one as all of my eye shadows come in palettes.

*** Well there you have it! Overall I spent $26 on this box and received over $100 worth of products. Once again I was underwhelmed by this box. They have a lot of skin care products and I'm very picky at what I put on my face since I break out pretty easily. They also have a TON of hair products and my hair is very fine so I don't feel the need to have so many.

I wish they would include more makeup products than they do. I did an inventory of all my subscription boxes and decided that this box just wasn't worth it for me. Maybe in the future I'll re-sub if they start including more makeup products.

July Blush Mystery Box

July's Blush Mystery Box included 6 items. 5 of those being full sized. Only two of the items were makeup products and the rest were skin care and hair care.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Lip Gloss Gleaming Temptations in I Have My Honey- Full Size! Value $23

This lip gloss was definitely a win for me. The color is not too stand-offish and it goes so smoothly with no stickiness. Less is more though since it has a metallic undertone.

I ABSOLUTELY adore this lip pencil! It's actually my very first one! It is the best nude lip liner for my skin tone and looks AMAZING with my favorite nude NYX lipstick. It's not overly creamy but it has great color output!

Smartfix SmartEye Wrinkle Lift- Full Size! Value $60 but Gilt has it for $15

Ehhmm..being 23 I'm not really worried about wrinkles and such yet. So I was kinda bummed out to received this but I went ahead and gave it a try.  It  is supposed to brighten the under eyes to rid of dark circles within 60 seconds which I have at times but there was a problem. It's tinted and made my under eyes look even darker if I had dark circles     -__- After using it for about two weeks I've given up on it. Before using it I was just going to just give it to my mom but she's lighter than me so this will not do.

I have yet to try this but I've always wanted to try a peel. Here's Sephora's description: "These patented two-step treatment pads deliver visible anti-aging results without recovery time. They work to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and pore size, while creating a more even skintone and brightening the complexion. Recommended for sensitive skin, the pads also work to calm redness and irritation and clear                                                                                     resulting in a healthy, glowing complexion."
The reviews given by users are also pretty positive.

I have yet to try out this product but it has received great reviews on Amazon.

Apparently, the product is a little different to use than most (click here for instructional video)

Great Barrier Island Bee Co. Manuka Honey Intensive Hand & Nail Cream- Travel Size 1oz Value $6

I have a love/hate relationship with this product (if you can even call it that after a few tries). The formula is great. Lightweight and very mosturizing. Makes my hands feel very soft after application. But I'm not a fan of the baby powder smell. It is a pretty strong scent, too.

*** Well there you have it! Overall I spent $26 on this box and received $100 worth of products. However, I was a little underwhelmed by the box since I only really loved about 2 of the products and might love the peel.

It has been too long!!

OMG! :O It has been forever since I have posted anything! Things have been pretty hectic in my life lately and I just got back from vacationing in Indiana with my boyfriend. It was pretty fun and maybe later I'll post some pictures (like the one where I'm petting a kangaroo!).

I've been pretty behind in posting about my subscription boxes so expect quite a few posts about those ;)

Sadly, I recently canceled my subscriptions to Blush Mystery Box and Glossybox. I will post the last few boxes I received from them and the reasons why I canceled in upcoming posts. I'm also going to change the format of the subscription boxes posts a little bit. Glad to be back and now on to posting!
